Artist Statement
My art is a journey into themes of spirituality, love, and connection, exploring the strength found in individual empowerment. As a self-taught artist, my process is an act of intuitive and emotional expression. I use color as a direct representation of emotion, finding comfort and joy in translating inner feelings onto the canvas.
While I primarily work with acrylics on canvas, my creative process is driven by experimentation. I incorporate a wide range of unconventional materials—from cardboard and duct tape to empty paint tubes and an air compressor—to challenge traditional boundaries and create without formality.
My creative impulse stems from a deep need to express. I can't help but be fully aware of the world I live in, and this awareness brings me a lot of pain when I feel I can't provide anything to help our society, community, and humanity. This deep care for others is what drives my work. It's a call for a deeper collective bond and shared connection.
My art is my contribution to this shared experience, a recognition that the time we have together is a precious gift. By creating work that inspires and uplifts the human spirit, I aim to provide comfort and encouragement for those struggling with depression, addiction, or anxiety, mirroring my own journey of rising above adversity. I believe that uplifting the human spirit serves us all in a profound way, making the world a more peaceful place.
My hope is that my work can be a space for others to feel a renewed sense of faith and connection with humanity. I invite you to join me on this journey, and I would be honored to have your support as I continue to create.
